Composite materials – association of industry and science
Prospects for the development of the composite materials industry in the Penza Region were discussed at the Rameyev Technopark on Thursday, January 21.
The round table was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy Igor Sitnikov, General Director of the Center for Cluster Development LLC Mikhail Lyashkov, Director of the ANO "SOPK "Composites Without Borders" Alexey Lemeshko, Executive Director of the above-mentioned ANO Andrey Gasyak, as well as manufacturers of composite materials and products made from them: LLC "Romet", JSC "NIIgrafit", LLC " Group of Companies "ESVO", LLC NPP "Pyroglerod" and Penza State University.
After Igor Sitnikov's welcome speech, the participants were presented with the possibilities of the Interregional Industrial Cluster "Composites Without Borders"in the VKS mode. Alexey Lemeshko spoke about the specifics of the implementation of the Roadmap for the development of the high-tech field "Technologies of new materials and substances" in the Russian Federation in terms of the product line "Polymer composite materials". The participants were also told about the conditions of interaction of enterprises with the Interregional Industrial Cluster.
Composite manufacturers are interested in the possibility of cooperation with the cluster. After all, this opens up new opportunities for Penza companies: this includes comprehensive support for projects, participation in all-Russian and international exhibitions, and exchange of experience with foreign and nonresident colleagues.
During the event, the technical director of Romet LLC, Andrey Rosen, demonstrated a new product-samples of corrosion-resistant laminated material with an internal tread. This is a composite material produced by explosion welding. According to Andrey Rosen, its direct purpose is to create containers for storing radioactive waste. Rosatom, as well as a number of other organizations, have already become interested in the new product.
